I thought they had abandoned the 42L in favor of the 42P. Or are they going to release both?

Unless you're intransitivent.

Intransitivent adjective unwilling or refusing to apply the transitive property to jocular koans.

"He was intransitivent in his declaration that left was right."

As a bitwise and - if I am right - it should be: (01101000011001010110000001110100001000000110100101110011001000000111001001100000011001110110100001100100) or "he`t is r`ghd"

That is something we should perhaps be promoting for the HHC2016 conference - maybe some more folks might "get off the fence" and decide to attend. If anyone is still thinking about it, check out the conference details here.

I considered attending but we have a baby due that week and I'm pretty sure my wife would appreciate it if I wasn't in Colorado Smile

Very much looking forward to more information on the DM42. Speculations run wild but it has potential to be amazing.

I just asked Gene to change the title from "New kid on the Block" to "New kid on the Block - DM42". That should give interested people an idea of what I'm going to talk about.

RE: DM42L release date and specs???
Gunter,

How did you convince Michael to lend you a DM42 prototype? I was in Lausanne, Switzerland, 2 weeks ago and was thinking about contacting and meeting Michael in Zurich. My wife was not two happy about the 6 hour train round trip to visit Zurich.

I was hoping the DM42 would be available by late July or early August. That's why I started this thread.

Looking forward to your presentation at HHC2016.

Namir,

because Michael sees the presentation as a collaborative effort. Without his background information and help I couldn't say much about the DM42.

You know, things always come later than it is hoped for.

Can I ask how many display lines the DM42P (I assume 42P is correct) has?

Sorry Namir, I can't release any details prior to the HHUC. It's only one and a half month away, so please be patient. Smile

I have no inside information, but pretty sure the answer is 4 lines (X, Y, Z, T)plus the soft menus. Any other choice for the 42S with a screen this large would not make sense. Why would you show 3? What would you put on a 5th line? Just guessing here, but it makes sense.

OK I will wait. Please encourage Michael to sell it through Amazon, so members of this forum can buy it through Amazon and help Swiss Micros' standing with Amazon.

Not that I'm advocating or expecting it, but, how about Last X? It may be considered at least a pseudo stack register - I've always thought it would be useful to see what's there on an ongoing basis.

Dave - My mind is going - I can feel it.

Also, to be able to see all four stack registers and a menu at the same time. Or view more program lines. There's cool things to use the extra space for, and if they are indeed going that way, they could lift a lot of useful logic from Byron Foster's Free42 port ("42s" in the iTunes App Store) which does all of these things.

RE: DM42L release date and specs???
Günter,

I loved the presentation, I'm glad that was uploaded. Very excited, it's almost everything I wanted, being able to see the menu and ALL of the stack plus LAST X is really neat, also loved the program demo where you could see 9 lines all at once. Very cool and I'm more than ready to give my money Smile
