I'm pretty sure schools pressured Casio to modify the 991EX to appeal to middle and high school students. The 991 Classwiz was (and still is) widely adopted by schools in South America, Europe and Asia. They wanted to simplify the keyboard layout and it backfired badly, at least for university/professional users. So many keystrokes...
I bought an extra 991EX and will keepit sealed in the box in case Casio never redeem themselves. I'm seriously hoping they will release a 991EX v2 in the future. As for the OP question, just stick to the 991EX, it's still the best option for the price. |
