Regarding the 17bII+ specifically: the LCD looks just like the traditional one, which also looks just like the 42s LCD.

However, how is it internally? Is it just like the old one, connected with 2 rubber bars? Or is it like the 35s, using the nasty hot glued ribbon cable?

My hope is that this LCD was just like the old one, providing a source of LCDs to fix damaged 42s machines.
