And anyway, this HP 9825 computer is not contemporary with the AGC but came 20 years later, so it does not make much sense to put the two together. If I would be involved in such a project I would power that AGC from a 28V battery (so that it can get no overvolatge under any circumstances) with a very fast current limiting device for maximum protection.
