RE: HP-97 Printer Gear
What do you WANT?!

That is what a USPS Flat Rate Box Costs. I am not NOT making $.01 off of these. I am simply trying to help the forum members.

Do you want First Class Mail? Still about $15. AND don't complain to me when it takes 3 months to get there!

Peace.

What I told you to leave asking for peace?
I just said that the value of the shipment was very expensive and I would not want to.
This is the reason you ask for peace?

RE: HP-97 Printer Gear
I know I am a bit late, but may I also get five? Maybe there is enough interest for a second production run?

RE: HP-97 Printer Gear
I've asked if we can add on more. Currently there are 47 spoken for which leaves me 3. I wanted a couple more than that, but...

I'll email additional interested members if I get confirmation on increasing the order.

RE: HP-97 Printer Gear
Gears are on their way to me. There are a few extras from the run and I paid for them.

I should be able to break up and distribute a day or two after receiving. That should be mid next week.

Sounds like there were extras run so we should expect to see a few on ebay.

RE: HP-97 Printer Gear
As an alternative source for a replacement HP97 30 tooth printer gear, I can confirm that a suitable brass gear mentioned in older MoHPC forums threads is still available as of May 2014 from http://www.modellbauershop.de, (or just google modellbauversand ghw), part number 753030.

The website is in German which google can translate, or alternatively in native German the correct part can be found under "Zahnrader" (gears) / "Stirnrader Modul 0.3" (Spur gears pinion 0.3), then find the first one with 30 teeth down the left hand column costing (in 2014) 3.15 euro. Click on this and confirm the part number is 753030.

I recently repaired my own HP97 printer using this part, much to my relief.

The replacement gear just requires the hole to be slightly enlarged with a drill, and I added a washer to space out the slighly thinner new gear. It works perfectly, although a bit noisier - which is presumably why the original was made from a rubbery plastic.

I had to buy four to meet the minimum 10 euro order.

Judging by the age of the forum I found this part in, this part has been on sale for at least a decade with the same part number, so could be around for many years to come - which might be useful info to other HP97 users.
