That's definitely close enough, only about 3 hours drive. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the community at the time those conferences were held. Happy to have discovered it now though. |

Who is Mary Woldering that is attending the HHC 2015??
I noticed the name Mary Woldering in the attendees of HHC2015 and she is giving a talk "Children of Stone". I checked the Internet and Mary seems to be a writer of stories for subjects that have nothing to do with calculators, math, or statistics.
Is her name in the list by error (meaning she registered by mistake)? Did I miss something???? Namir |

RE: HHC 2015: Nashville!
HHC 2015 didn't have a "theme" until yesterday, when the ever-increasing amount of user-community activity in original but HP-related hardware suggested this theme:
EYAWTKATCUCPBWATA! You can see it spelled out on the conference home page: http://hhuc.us/2015 I wonder how many folks are old enough to catch the tongue-in-cheek reference? <0|ɸ|0> -Joe- |

RE: HHC 2015: Nashville!
I noticed that Tim Wessman has committed to attend! Way to go, Tim! Also, I am hopeful that Włodek will be able to travel this year and attend HHC in Nashville. Currently he's listed himself at 50% probability.

RE: HHC 2015: Nashville!
Years ago, after a particularly gruelling day, I had to do some reports on how badly things were handled by airport security. All constructive criticism of course, but I did sign off with the following:
WETMAMEHY. I got a call three weeks later stating that the problem took two days to solve but they (management) did not get back to me earlier as they wanted to solve the acronym first. Cheers, Geoff :-) |

If it helps all the attendees to further appreciate and relish the experience of participating in the conference knowing that others are chafing and wailing and gnashing their teeth over not being able to attend, then I am happy to provide that embellishment.

RE: HHC 2015: Nashville!
That's bizarre, I tried googling it and the server stops responding. I am in Beijing and it is midnight and the Internet does strange things here, but the acronym and phrase is nothing controversial or rude. The search hangs my iPad.
Weird. Funny, just tried to google: EYAWTKATCUCPBWATA! And the search froze. I wonder if it is something to do with bejings control of the Internet, or does this happen for others. By the way: EYAWTKATCUCPBWATA! Is a small town in Wales and the language is Sumerian or Aramaic and therefore unpronounceable, Wlodek is from there. |

Really weird.
Googling EYAWTKATCUCPBWATA from here gives exactly one hit from Joe's page. Let's see how that number increases. @Geoff: Good night / morning to you. See you at EYAWTKATCUCPBWATA. And I order one copy of the book... |

Don't forget to bring any HP or calc-related items which you'd like to donate to the HHC2015 conference prize table. There usually turns out to be a few gems there...
Thanks, Jake |
