Happy 10th anniversary
It's been ten years since Dave invited us to move to the new forum.
Many thanks to the Draconian host, moderators and all participants for providing this wonderful place.

RE: Happy 10th anniversary
Wow! If I would have to have guessed, I would have thought it was longer than 10 years ago.
Happy Anniversary!

I am not sure why it says 2008. I believe was registered on the old forum dating at least back to 2000. Here is a post of mine from the HP Memories Forum section dated 2 April 2000.

This appears to be your first reply in the thread: 49G spotted.

RE: Happy 10th anniversary
The old forum allowed unregistered users to post, too. And if you click on his name on the older post, it says this:

Quote:The message you are replying to was not posted under the account by this name. Usually this just means that the poster created an account after posting some messages because accounts were not originally a feature of this forum. It's also possible however that someone created an account using the same name that someone else used previously.

    Adjective
draconian (comparative more draconian, superlative most draconian)

    1. Very severe, cruel, or harsh
    .

I'm sure you're using that adjective tongue-in-cheek, as Mr. Hicks certainly doesn't fit the definition, by far.

Many thanks to him and the vast majority of moderators, without their kindness and hard work in providing and running this site for that many years we wouldn't be here discussing (but never cussing) everything under the HP calc's sun, 22+ years since I joined the Old Forum and counting ! Smile

Regards.
V.

I always thought of him (by image) as Zuse or something.

Happy anniversary!

Just had a look:

https://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap...act=258711

I'm longer in the "new" forum than in the old one. Wow. But I seem to remember I'm at least following the forum for some more years.

Hummm, "u" before "e" except after "z"? Don't post before the second cup

It wasn't intentional then? Not the first time I saw and enjoyed humor when there was none. But I think it's much better than having it the other way around. Always look on the bright side of life :-)
