Let me add my thanks to Klaas and the new team at Moravia.

My G1 Prime is a replacement from HP for an original with suspect rocker wheel. Consequently, this replacement G1 has always been finicky when attempting a firmware update in the past. But now the old G1 update went smoothly and very quickly with no problems on the calculator side.

My old Windows 10 laptop, however, did balk at my initial attempts to update. The laptop, with Norton 360 installed, repeatedly (repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly...) prompted me to scan the calculator for viruses (which has never happened before, a new behavior curtesy of the Moravia version of CK, perhaps) and Norton refused to allow a complete firmware transfer to the calculator--very helpful. Long story short, disabling Norton Auto-Protect and Smart Firewall allowed me to transfer the firmware to the calculator. From that point the update went swimmingly.

So, thank you Moravia Prime team.

Out of curiosity, apart from Klaas, who are the new team?

A G1, and two G2's updated nicely, once I connected through a USB hub. Plugged directly into the computer, the calculators were not recognized.

Once of the G2's also required a push of the reset button before it came back up with the new firmware.
On the Windows emulator: How does one format numerical output?

Home Settings: Number Format: See Symbolic Setup !?

CAS Settings: Number Format: Choose Box (Standard, Scientific, Engineering)
and beside it, to its right
Choose number of digits to use with Choose Box (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12)

Choosing any number of digits seems to have no effect on the display: all numbers displayed as fix 3.

What am I missing?

"Home Settings: Number Format: See Symbolic Setup"

It is telling you what to do. Look at the symbolic setup for your currently active application (SHIFT-SYMB). You have it set to a specific value. For example, the finance app defaults to FIX 2.

From memory you might be in the triangle solver.
What is a notable update in CAS.

If the Home number format is set to "See Symbolic Setup", and you want to get out of "See Symbolic Setup" mode, go to the Home screen, and in the entry line, type AFormat:=1 or AFormat=1 (I can't remember which) then press the OK tab. In the Home and CAS settings, change the number format to the desired format.

Thank you Tim and Gene222: I am now numerically informed.
I join in thanking you for the new firmware. Hopefully, other updates will follow at a faster pace than this time (a definitive fix of 'ghost' apps, crashes in python, ..., some addition of cas features wouldn't hurt either, e.g. I personally miss 'prevperm' and 'nextperm').
I received an email: someone tried to update his Prime calculators, the calculator becomes unstable and usable.

Reinstalling the older version did not appear to solve the problem, as the apps may not be compatible. His Prime calculators are on Hardware C. He has contacted Morovia.

Anyone else have a problem with updating on Prime Calculators that are Hardware C?
mine is rev c and auto boots from off when connected to the pc, and when trying to explore from the connectivity kit continually restarts. see pic of model info attached , was waiting to see if it was only me.

Not just you. The exact same thing happens on my Rev C. Can't add any programs or even look at anything via the Conn Kit before it crashes the calculator and it restarts.

I updated my G1 PRIME without problems on Windows 11.

I spoke too soon! As long as I didn't open the Programs category on the CK, there was no problem. As soon as I did that, however, the Prime went into endless reboots and disconnecting it and reconnecting it stopped that until I tried to look at Programs again.

That sounds like an old error, that has not been repaired.

@Moravia, @Klaas-Kuperus:
1) please check your issue tracker, thank you!
2) Please give feedback here.
3) the announcement unfortunately did not list any bugs
that were fixed with the new release.
Can this please be added later?

I've just downloaded and installed (and rebooted my Win11 computer after install), the latest CK from https://hpcalcs.com/download/:

When I try to check for update in CK, I get:

Anything I am missing? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Going into Control Panel, Windows Security app, I went to Protection History, the latest warning was about CK being denied access to the Documents folder. I allowed it , restarted CK, and this time it was able to download the updates.
Thank you to Jeff, Bernard, and all those who made this update possible. It was well worth waiting.
what and where is the issue tracker , my rev c prime worked for years, so whats up.
