Public Beta Availiable - RC - Win/Mac/Firmware/Android/iOS
Continuation of first beta: https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-13855.html

If you have not read that, please do so first. Thank you!

Hello,

Approximately version 2.1.14341 (2019 11 20)

Quote:Windows/Mac/Calculator
http://www.hpcalc.org/prime/beta/

iOS
HP Prime Lite: https://testflight.apple.com/join/wEWzNu3f
HP Prime Pro: https://testflight.apple.com/join/N3c1tyqC

Android
HP Prime Lite: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com...lator.free
HP Prime Pro: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com...calculator

I did not post a new linux build, and the android/ios versions are not yet available until passing store processes.

This next version has a few changes in it to address some problems. Specifically:

Quote:MAIN:

ROUND and TRUNC now works on units
graphing of int(2*X,X,0,X) did not work...

CAS:
change for desolve(((y' = a*(b-y)^2-c)) AND (y(0) = 0),x,y)|a=3.1,b=5.2,c=7.3;
fix re/im on diff
fix solve 3rd order inequation solving
fix crash plotfunc on a function
fix for rootof in inequation solving

APPS:
SPACE and ENTER keys on external keyboards not working on android.
Android top button no longer dissapears on hide menu bar
iOS adv grapher using too much memory

RE: Public Beta Availiable - RC - Win/Mac/Firmware/Android/iOS
Hello

I think it shouldn't be close to being a release candidate version, because there are many things that have not been corrected for many years. If it could be an RC but with more periodic updates, keep in mind that the CAS evolves, but the firmware is only improved in some aspects, you should consider improving it globally.

For example, the pyhton syntax Xcas history view does not match the changes in Xcas.

Soon we will have uPython =), but what is really valuable is the python syntax that Bernard Parisse is developing

For example
On the entry line and cas mode
PHP Code:
python_compat(True) [enter]

squares := [ x**2 for x in range( 10 ) ] [enter]
[0.,1.,4.,9.,16.,25.,36.,49.,64.,81.] ??? [enter]
[0,1,4,9,16,25,36,49,64,81] // ok
then [up] [up][up] [enter]

[[0],[1],[4],[9],[16],[25],[36],[49],[64],[81]] // Now it is a column vector Why ?, there is a history view engine failure

more on Python syntax: https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-13871.html

LO SUFICIENTEMENTE BUENO ES ENEMIGO DE LA EXCELENCIA.

RE: Public Beta Availiable - RC - Win/Mac/Firmware/Android/iOS
After updating the Prime with the second beta FW the attempts to backup caused the unexpected closing of the beta Connectivity Kit window. The same issue happened with the first beta FW. I can't backup the Prime with the beta FW.

RE: Public Beta Availiable - RC - Win/Mac/Firmware/Android/iOS
After installing the RC Beta my Prime G2 demonstrates a strange behavior after soft rebooting [ON]&[Symb].

1) Turn power off and than turn power on.

2) After the first reboot on the Prime's screen continuosly the HP logo appears.

3) After the second reboot all the Prime's memory seems to be lost, nothing appears in the mem manager.

4) After the third reboot all progrms restore in the Prime's memory.

Repeated rebooting shows the same sequence of results.

Is it a norm?

That certainly doesn't sound normal. I can't reproduce the error on my G2 no matter how many times I follow those steps. Perhaps you should try reinstalling the OS?

Thanks for the new beta, HP team! I'm looking forward to the ghost apps being fixed in future ones. Wink

Nor can I. I'm thinking more that reformatting the C: drive would be the next course of action.

Here I reported about this issue after several attempts of reformating disc C and reinstalling FW on calc/PC.

If reformatting and reinstalling the firmware didn't help then the next conclusion is faulty hardware.

RE: Public Beta Availiable - RC - Win/Mac/Firmware/Android/iOS
My Android phone copy of the Prime Pro App just automatically updated itself:

S/W Version: 2.1.14346 (2019 11 21)
CAS Version: 1.5.0
OS: 8.0.0

There is no mention of Beta, RC, etc.

Has the new version been formally released?

I checked the ftp site and see nothing new there.

I recieved the update on HP Prime Pro app and don't recieve any tips regarding the changelog.
I am expecting a word about this update officially.

The apps for ios/android are in the process of being pushed live, yes. The other ones not yet, but probably will start that soon.

Thanks Tim.

Are the new releases essentially the same as the recent RC?

Yes. I think maybe one additional CAS fix or something like that...

Connectivity Kit font is not loading correctly, 2-byte characters are not represented. I self-quote not to go unnoticed xD
