Exactly how do you update the DM42 Firmware?

I have just 1 question left unanswered...in step 4 of the USB driver install instructions it says to connect USB device, then go into Boot mode, AND then hit Reset...What I need to know if that is correct...Do I also hit Reset like it says to in step 4 here... https://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/doc/libusb_install/
