I would not recommend trying to pull those files directly in. Part of the extensive work that went between the 8151 and later was to ensure that all data files and structures are completely identical between all platforms to enable sharing things. Trying to use the data directly in the case of an android version on a later system would not be compatible.

In the case of android, they would have been incompatible with every other system. Since there was no way to exchange data though, it wasn't a serious problem then. Trying to directly use that now when there has not been any code created to do conversion is probably asking for trouble.
