Poor stand-by battery life?

This is what I suspected for a while too. I am going to try to replicate the problem and try to figure out whether it's a dud battery or a firmware bug. This morning it was left in CAS view, and this evening it still shows a full charge. I will try it plot mode next and see what happens.
