Sad answer: There is nothing new on the pocket calculator market because nowadays you can do most of the stuff with your smartphone.
Probably the only reason why pocket calculators still exist (and will still exist in 10 years) is that smartphones/ computers are not allowed in exams. For engineering you can do everything on a computer (or even have to do for documentation reasons).
