After overnight charging, in Aurora's fresh light, I realized signs of leaking at one cell (pale-greenish salt-like residue on the plus pole). Certainly not in a condition to be placed into a 41c...
Probably an increased internal resistance explains the unexpected low charging current, which now is measured slightly higher at 2.4 mA (DC setting, cleaned plus pole). My budget plan grows by a set of rechargeable N cells, and perhaps the battery shield.
