Let me quote Mr Wessman (from this thread: http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-936-page-5.html):

(03-19-2014 02:26 PM)Tim Wessman Wrote:  Long term, Prime may end up meeting most/all of the needs of the traditional 50g user as well... Prime is just getting started, but the 50g is basically a 20 year old mature product with all quirks and limitations known.

And from what I have been reading online, RPL is basically dead with the 50g. I don't think HP has another calculator around the corner, not for at least another 3 or 4 years, and if they did, I'd bet it'd be the Prime+ Smile.
Give it some time and we'll see the Prime do everything the 50g does, only way faster, better and more intuitively.
Just like most of the users of theses forums, I too own a 50g and can't live without it, but that won't stop me from welcoming the Prime.

So if it is right, I will not bother buying a Prime. I will wait 20 years , if I'm still alive.

I will be playing around with my oldie goodies in the meantime.
