Plus42 Equations, Preview Release

Martin Hepperle's document mentions that it is necessary to include A*0 and B*0 in the equation:
L(X:A)*L(Y:B)*0+G(X)+G(Y)+A*0+B*0
or otherwise the solver would not find a solution.
I did not understand that, tbh, and it turns out Plus42 solves it without the A*0+B*0.
Is that just luck, and should the A*0+B*0 really be included?
