You don't need another calculator to find the right answer, just a little reflexion. If numeric and exact answers don't match, it's most probably the exact answer that will be wrong (especially if you are using HP-specific functions like NTHROOT because other functions have probably been tested by Xcas users). The numeric integrator is more robust, but may fail if there are singular points on the integration domain. |
