When I program something for Giac, I care about exact computations and then I make one or 2 tries with "normal range" approx data, I do not make extensive tries with something that will (almost) never happen on a calculator (and that's probably the reason why nobody mentionned it in the last 7 years).
Now, of course it's better to have the best possible accuracy and I modified the source code of Giac accordingly.
Next time you find something wrong, I would appreciate if you could report the bug in a more friendly manner.
