There are two different firmware packages.

The G1 firmware includes about 14 or 15 files, the largest of which are PRIME_APP.DAT, PRIME_MASTER.DAT and PRIME_OS.ROM. These are expanded from the zip archive HP_Prime_Calculator_Firmware_{DATE}.zip

The G2 firmware includes fewer files. The largest (and the only one sent to the calculator) is HPPrime_OS.img. These are contained in the archive called HP_Prime_Calculator_G2_Firmware_{DATE}.zip

While there is nothing to show which particular model the firmware files are intended for, the clue is in the .zip archive containing them.

Thank you for the reply, but I already linked to the exact firmware file I used, which more plainly is this one:

As you can see, there is no "G2" in the file name. Yet my problems exist. I want to know how to solve those problems.

I also want to know how to make images in my posts in this forum be 50% smaller than they are. What IMG tag hack must I use to achieve that?
