Looking for Power supply 82066B

Are you sure of that part number? From a search on this forum I understand the 71B uses the same power adapter as the 41, 65 and some HP printers. That adapter model number is HP82059B, 8 Volt AC output, 3 Watts max. A bit pricey I agree at $20 for the cheapest one on eBay (referred to as TAS around here).

You might roll your own using an 8V or 9V wall adapter. I doubt you'll find the right connector anywhere but check Mouser or Digi-Key (or maybe even an auto parts store!) for a receptacle contact of the right size to fit the 71 plugs. An oversized receptacle can always be crimped down to fit. Start here, for some parts

A homemade adapter may end up costing nearly as much as the real thing though, so you might check eBay periodically or use an automated search. Patience is generally rewarded
