Assuming nothing is assigned to variable X:

1 X+

1: '1+X'

1 X-

2: '1+X'
1: '1-X'

1: '(1+X)/(1-X)'

With numbers the terms have to be entered algebraically to prevent evaluation:

'1+3' ENTER

1: '1+3'

'1-3' ENTER

2: '1+3'
1: '1-3'

/

1: '(1+3)/(1-3)'

EVAL

1: -2
