A simple formula that gives perimeter of ellipse with max rel error of 7ppm
h = ((a-b)/(a+b))^2 \(\displaystyle P(a,b) ≈ \pi (a+b) \left( \frac{.001312}{1.2534-h} + \frac{.85111}{3.8631-h} + .192145\,h + .77864 \right) \) |
