e^((x+3)*ln(x^2+x-2)), for x=-1 you get e^(2*ln(-2)) where ln(-2)=ln(2)+pi*i (i is the imaginary unit) Smile

So how do you explain the TI's ability to include -1 amongst the solutions of (x^2+x-1)^(x+3)=1?
