And here are some internal views of the calculator including a picture that shows the location of the six screws that need to be undone to open the housing: http://www.finetune.co.jp/~lyuka/interests/calc/hp35s/ Once the calculator is open, you "only" have to remove about two dozen more screws to gain access to the keyboard. Which is an enormous advantage over previous HP calculators which had their keyboards permanently attached with heatstakes.
