From the Talmud, and respected as a rule for divisibility by 7 (remainder correct) by John Horton Conway:


5780? (5780/7 = 825, remainder 5)

57 80

114 + 80 = 194

1 94

2 + 94 = 96

96/7 = 13, remainder 5
