Commodore 1541 - Head failure

Commodore 1541 - Head failure
Has anyone on this forum ever tried to repair a Commodore 1541 floppy drive with a bad disk head? Everything else I've heard and read is that once it goes, it's dead.

I'm curious to hear what others have to say in this forum.
