Hmm, probably a stupid question, but how do I get the "recovery screen info"?
When I press On+Symb, I get 3 2 up left, but also big red letters telling me to connect to the connkit. I cannot "escape" or switch off the calc in this mode (so now, I've "upgraded" to 20200121 three times).
And yes, my touch screen functions.

Nothing is dumb - but to get out of the "Update Screen" as it is called:
Press ON-SYMB again - but this time don't hold down on the SYMB key. As soon as the screen goes blank - release both (ON-SYMB) at the same time.
The Prime resets as it would normally and you get the normal Home screen.

Note Briefly:
OS El Captain won't take the emulation or kit connectivity upgrade so it's stuck in 2018.
OS High Sierra works with the 2020 upgrade.
It might be the case for windows 7 vs 10 as well.
So welcome to the new ages no more backwards compatibility for some.
I'm ok moving forward in High Sierra.
Have a great day everyone

Has to do with the underlying QT libraries no longer supporting the older OS basically. For the smalle number of users still on those, it is not really worth keeping support. Sorry!

WARNING - I upgraded my new Prime and lost the touch screen; couldn't select anything via the screen - - the keyboard was active for all things Keyboard but that was all.
Did the Diagnostic Reset and did the checkouts and all was well - reverted back to Firmware 20181016 and regained complete functionality.
I have a HP Beta software set 20191120 that I will check tomorrow sometime.
More as it comes.

Thats interesting, I never thought about you getting external bodies to test;
does that mean you will have certification from such bodies.

Hello,
No, we have a series of tests that were developed for the 12C, the 10BII+, 20/40b and the like that we are reusing for Prime.
