HP-97S Test Connector

Posted by Erik Wahlin (USA) on 6 Aug 2003, 9:37 p.m.

I had a few requests to map out my HP-97S test connector. It is a fairly simple thing to build if you can find the IC.

A possible vendor of the IC is Emar International who list them on their web site.

Also, Katie Wasserman noted that "The MM80C98 is the same at the MM70C98 which is still made by National Also the MM80C98 isn't that hard to find. Mouser has them for $2.37."

Please see below or my site for the connector details. I have attempted as best as I can to double and triple check the connections. Please use at your own risk however. I assume no liability if you damage your HP-97S by building and using this connector. The HP-97S diagnostic program that is used with this connector is also shown in the here.
