How to set the Date.Time etc on a WP34S
Message #1 Posted by Harold A Climer on 29 Oct 2013, 7:23 p.m.

I have figured how to display the date month and year on the 34S in the various formats, but have not been able to find out to set this stuff on the calculator. When using the emulator this is no problem, because the computer sets this for you.

I am trying to learn about three different calculators. Right now I am still doing most of my work on the 50G, while trying to learn about the Prime, the hp35S and the wp34S.

The owners manual is very complete as far as I can see, but it is a lot of material to wade through.

I have to know about TI calculators too, because so many of my student use them. It sometimes overwhelms my brain.

Enter the date as dd.mmyyyy or mm.ddyyyy, then H-MODE_SETDAT to set the date. Enter time as hh.mmss then H-MODE SETTIM to set the time.

Date choice of dd.mmyyy or mm.ddyyy is chosen by H-MODE D.MY or H-MODE M.DY respectively.

For sake of completeness: you may choose yyyy.mmdd as well. See the commands D.MY, Y.MD, and M.DY in MODES. Then take SETDAT to enter the date in the format chosen.

Although i cannot help you with your question i have one word to describe the kind of teacher you are ... AWESOME ... Instead of forcing one kind (arhmm TI) you are learning others also ( the best one XD)

have a great day and enjoy learning. I am myself a newbie concerning hp calcs and completely fell in love with them.
