WP-34s: Manual omission? (ATTN: Walter)
Message #1 Posted by W. Bruce Maguire II on 17 Apr 2012, 12:28 p.m.

Walter:

In the list-of-functions section of the manual, I could not find any mention of the "H .d" key to convert from HMS to decimal-hours.

Thanks for the great documentation! Bruce.

Bruce,

That list is sorted following the command names, not the labels. The command ->H does what you want. You find it on page 81. Additionally, please see page 50. There is a command called DECM. These two commands use the label H.d.

Thanks, BTW, for your kind words.

Walter

Ahhh... I misunderstood how the "H.MS" and "H .d" keys functioned; now I see the logic!

The use of the "->" prefix key is just brilliant, by the way (in this case and the base-conversion cases)!

Thanks, Bruce.
