The starting address of RAM is 0x800000, but RAM below 0x804FFF is reserved for system use (the 41C register memory and the MMU entries). The memory from 0x805000 to 0x805FFF is the Y-functions buffer area, which can be used if you're not using the YBUILD command. The 58 pages starting at 0x806000 are available for any use.

Yes, you can use any address in the range.

The page orientation is only used with YMCPY.
