15CLE disassembly / reassembly recommendations?
Message #1 Posted by Thomas Chrapkiewicz on 20 Dec 2011, 11:53 a.m.

Has anyone disassembled a 15CLE?

Removing the back is simple - only the 6 screws.

I've noticed that the PCB is retained with heat stakes.

If and when I remove these I would like some ideas on the proper screws to re-retain the PCB.

Thanks in advance,

TomC

Check out this thread which described disassembly and repair of a bad key.

Here is a direct link to the pictures.

Very interesting... I wonder if that trick can be used with other calculators that heat-stake the PCB.
