It's impossible. Re-release of HP-71B means re-release of its peripherals and plug-in modules. HP has so many things to do!

I like this machine very much, though.

Well, it is already back! ;-)

Here's the (original) emulator by Christoph:

And here my complete ready-to-use package (incl. ROMs and very comfortable KML-script):

Franz,

Again, your HP-71B emulator is super awesome. It is excellent especially you can load more memory and various ROMs.

BTW, Any chance seeing the Curve Fitting ROM for emulators?

Not from me, Namir.
All ROMs I have (and I've included in this package) are from Jeff's website:
http://www.jeffcalc.hp41.eu/emu71/index.html

I've no idea from where we could get other 71B ROMs. :(

I stand corrected. The ROMs are not from you. You just put every together to work with the picture of the HP-17B.

Well, my (small) part on this package was making these very comfortable KML scripts, but that was already more than enough work. ;-)

Keith,

You love that emulator especially when you configure the various ports to load more memory and the ROM files. Use the Edit | Port Configuration ... menu commands to bring up the Port Configuration dialog box. You can select the port using the list box located in the upper right corner of the dialog box. The Add button allows you to add a module to the port.

Loading the JPC ROM is especially nice because it extends the BASIC dialect allowing for better looping and decision-making structures than the bare BASIC of the machine. The additional constructs reduce the reliance of the code on line numbers or labels. The resulting code is easier to read and bit more up to par with structured languages.
