Good indication how HP's earlier "insight" about the market is WRONG!!! They have been listening to the wrong bean counters who have no patience at all.

I am glad to see the HP Tablet get a second chance.

ill they call it the HP Tablet Limited Edition??????? Might as well!!

Not sure that this qualifies as a second chance. Reports at the moment only mention a single additional production run. Yeah, Slap LE on it and sell it on TAS for $700...

Just think about this though, the less expensive unit was selling (during the fire sale) for the same price as a 15C LE!

Cheers,

Marwan,

Good observation about the similarity of the prices for the HP Tablet and the HP-15C LE.

Don't count on it doing any better the second time around. Once the decision to kill it was made, they should have stood by their decision. This looks even more boneheaded than their preannouncement of spinning off the PC business.

I won't be surprised to see another fire sale.

Very believable.

Considering most chinese/taiwanese production partners had already pre-produced bunches of parts, this doesn't come as a surprise. The only surprise is, that they obviously had not received any warning before.
Speaking of "warning", I remember the HP phone dropping significantly in price one or two days before the official funeral - so at least someone somewhere was in the knowing.
