Mathcad user guide

I thought I'd share this image with you. A colleague of mine cleared out his office and came across this 1994 book about Mathcad, a mathematics package for WIndows PCs. For some reason they felt it appropriate to display a 48 (I don't know which flavour) on the front cover, instead of something that actually has to do with the software package. Perhaps at that point they still thought that computational mathematics is best represented by an advanced calculator.

Cheers, Maarten

Maarten,

I agree, that's odd. Perhaps trying to suggest that at last a computer program as powerful as an HP calculator?

By the way, it's 48S or SX. Can't tell which w/o seeing logo. Definitely not G series.

Martin
