A few more pictures: Spice series
Message #1 Posted by Vieira, Luiz C. (Brazil) on 14 Oct 2009, 10:55 p.m.

Hi, all;

I added a few pictures here that may help those willing to repair their Spices. The first two pictures show data I collected while replacing the flex circuit for a cut of regular flat cable.

Cheers.

Very nicely done Luiz.
I did that same repair on my late model (soldered) 34C about a year ago, except I used 3 separate small gauge wires (stuff that I just had in my tool box). I was barely able to get the case closed after the repair (the wires could have been a little smaller). It worked out OK though.
The pictures you posted are excellent. I saved them so next time I can do it right!!
Thanks, and best regards, Hal

Hi, Hal;

I thought I had already posted a follow-up, but I really missed it. Sorry!

Please, use the pictures as you wish. In fact, as you may have noticed, the pictures are actually images captured with a flatbed scanner. I donīt remember the resolution, though.At that time I had no digital camera...

Cheers.

Thanks Luiz for this. I just repaired my 34c using these as a guide :-)
