Can the HP 38G do Binary, Hexadecimal, or Octal base
Message #1 Posted by kmaciej on 13 Feb 2009, 5:37 p.m.

Hello,

I was wondering if the HP 38G graphing calculator will do binary, hexadecimal, or Octal base conversions??

You may email me at kevinmaciej@usfamily.net

Thanks,

Kevin

I couldn't find anything in the manual. So at least it's not officially supported. I haven't checked whether the 39G or 40G can do binary, octal or hex, but I doubt it.

Nope, none of them have it built-in. There is a library lurking around Colin Croft's site somewhere for the 38 and (possibly) the later models that does it but it is a bit clunky.
