HPCC Datafile Issue V27N6 Hits A Homerun
Message #1 Posted by Jake Schwartz on 23 Dec 2008, 11:59 a.m.

Hi Guys and Gals,

I just wanted to mention that the latest issue of the British HPCC's Datafile from November/December '08 has an amazing 13-page article by Dennis York, describing his years at HP and beyond. He reveals people and projects in details which I've never heard or read before, including an image of two prototypes of which I had only heard the codenames and nothing else. It is a fascinating read. I shouldn't neglect to mention some other items contained therein, including an article about Chris Klug's new HP41 I/O book and Gene Wright's overview of the HHC2008 conference programming contest problem. If you were on the fence about joining HPCC, this issue might just help make the decision.

I wish I could somehow read that article...

I'd love to join, but I don't use Paypal and don't have access to a UK bank... bummer.

Ask them if they can add PayPal shopping cart buttons to the website. That way you don't need to join PayPal to pay by credit card. I do this for my uWatch and it works fine.

There is probably another way to do it manually via the PayPal site, but I don't know off hand.

Dave.

Then DO use Paypal. Never had a problem with them.

I agree.
Although the story isn't quite the same for sellers, but for buyers it's great with no hassles.

Dave.
