82240 A and B, what's the difference?
Message #1 Posted by Keith Beyer on 20 Oct 2008, 10:22 p.m.

Why did HP make to versions of the 82240 IR printer? They look and function identically but one works with some calculators and not others for each. Some calculators seem to work with both. Does anyone know the differences and why? Also, is there a comprehensive list somewhere of which calculators work with which printer?

Thanks!

In one word: Font.

Plenty of more lengthy discussion on that already in the site, avaiable here.

In particular you will find a good reference in this thread.

FYI, You can use the Google index to search the archives by executing a google search like this:

site:www.hpmuseum.org 82240A 82240B

Kind regards, Al
