Message #1 Posted by jose ernesto goncalves on 23 Sept 2008, 1:27 p.m.

Hi

It finally arrived. 60 % of overprice for customs and all.

Before anything else, I was disappointed with the shape and size of the calculator.

Cheers

Jose (from Brasil)

I got my new HP 20b calculator today.

Price: RM198 (approx. US$57.90 or 45% above US list price)

Serial No.: CNG 8280 XXXX (read: Chinese factory G,year 2008 Week 28 unit no. 0XXXX) The serial no. is a sticker on the back of the package. ( Does anyone know how to check if the serial no. can be found in the calculator as in the HP 50G To see the internal serial number, type:

256 ATTACH [Enter] SERIAL [Enter]

and scroll to the right )

SW version: 6 24 2008

The mushy keyboard is totally not in the HP tradition, although the double wide Enter key and the beveled keys are there.

Unlike Jose, I like the design although the shiny surface is a fingerprint magnet :-(
