HP 41CV repair required
Message #1 Posted by Geoff (Wales) on 20 Apr 2008, 12:32 p.m.

Hi Can anyone help please? After 29 years of use my HP41CV seems to be broken?! A few weeks ago, the display went erratic but that resolved itself after I opened the casing slightly to look inside (and then thought better of it and closed it). Now, when I press 'ON' the calculator just beeps once and the display is blank. Is there a simple solution to this that I am missing? If not, then does anyone provide a repair service? Thanks Geoff

Hello Geoff,

try this simple procedure. With the calculator switched off press: [BACKSPACE]+[ON] If it doesn't work at 1st try a few more times.

Removes the batteries and leave 12 hours. Did you use some module? Synthetic programming? Old batteries?
