Just noticed 20% off at factory HP Site. Not free shipping, but still a good price.

And the HP-12C is advertised under "Haus & Garten" (House & Garden) as a "school calculator"!

I think last week, or the week before it was 69 € or 72, they upped the price :-(.

RE: Toy

At the risk of offending many people on this board, the word "toy" might correctly be applied! That's not just the 35s, but all calculators. The excuse may be that they are exercising their minds, but "toy" it is! (Math "challenges", programming challenges, collecting and restoring.)

I just wish I were as smart as so many of the writers here! (Guess I'm just jealous!)

As far as I could tell, ALL of the calculators that HP sells on it's site are on sale.

Don't know how long this will last, don't wait if you planned to buy one new from HP!

As far as I see, this sale is in and for the USA only. For comparison: Dynatech sells it for 70€ = 110US$. Let's praise free trade :-/
