Broken HP-25
Message #1 Posted by Simon Williams on 15 Mar 2008, 1:58 p.m.

Does anyone have any ideas on this:

I've bought a an HP-25 which seemed OK apart from a few iffy keys. However, programming doesn't seem to work, neither do registers or stats. Is this a memory problem? When programming, all steps appear to show GTO 00. Calculating mean in stats shows an error?

Many thanks

Simon

Yes, those are the typical symptoms of the RAM chip(s) completely failing. :-(

Thanks. Worth repairing or just use it for spares?

The only source of the RAM chips is from another HP calculator, so I'd say keep it for spares.
