Survey: most used 12C programs
Message #1 Posted by Eric Smith on 8 Feb 2008, 9:42 a.m.

For the 12C (NOT Platinum), what are the programs you use most frequently? Do you keep a single program in your 12C most of the time, or are there multiple programs you use? If the programs you use are publicly available, links would be nice.

Thanks, Eric

Hi, Eric:

I use the HP-12C for manual financial calculations, thanks to its extensive set of financial functions that perfectly covers my needs, so the one program I keep in memory at all times is the one I wrote to implement all standard trigonometric functions as they are the ones most sorely missed.

The article describing (and listing) my Trigonometrics program is freely available for download from this link, in PDF format:

Best regards from V.

Valentin, again I'm sorry for stealing not only your layout but your entire wording ;-) But you wrote exactly what I'm doing with my 12C...

Hi, George:

If it's true that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" I must say that I feel certainly flattered.

Keep up the good work ! :-)

... and thanks a lot for your kind appreciation.

Best regards from V.

You may feel flattered! Your trig program for the 12C is awesome!

I only find myself wishing you would find the time to do it all in 89 or 79 steps - so there would be room for a small additional program from time to time ;-)

Hi Eric, this is a classic from 1988, still on many 12c:
