welding tabs onto lithium batteries in san jose Message #1 Posted by db (martinez, ca.) on 7 July 2007, 11:46 p.m. does anyone here know either a place in the san jose california area or a battery chain store (that might be around there) who can weld tabs to connect lithium ion batteries. i'd try but i blew up enough stuff on the 4th.

Hi all, I had heard rumors that Batteries Plus was the place to go to get this done. They do the spot welding in-shop. Of course, finding one near you might be tough. Question: Are you working with larger cells or coin cells? In the latter, I would try Mouser for pre-tabbed cells. Soldering them is just too risky! Have fun! Tony
