L() and G() Manual
Message #1 Posted by Bill (Smithville, NJ) on 17 Sept 2006, 5:32 a.m.

Over the years, I've seen many references to the L() anf G() functions, but never really got a good understanding of their use and just how powerful they really are. Until now.

I just started playing around with a HP-19BII and the solver. It's manual doesn't even mention the L() and G() functions. In researcing other manuals, I found they are mentioned but not really explained very completely.

I just found the reference I was searching for. The HP-27S/HP-19B Technical Applications manual is a gold mind. It goes into great detail on the solver and the L() and G() functions including 25 pages on Advanced Solver Techniques. All the Technical Applications Equations in the Manual makes use of them.

I found it on the HPMuseum CD/DVD set.

I'm sure that many of you that are "Old-Hands" at using L() and G() are already aware of this great reference, but there may be some others here who, like me, are just discovering it.
