Dumbin' it down...

Good for a chuckle. Read the desrcription.

TI-5019

One of the nice things about the TI-5019 is that it operates just like a standard calculator. There's no need to learn the RPN (reverse Polish notation) entry method that more professional models use.

And it's a "SCIENTIFIC Printing Calculator", but unfortunately doesn't have any tax keys or a grand-total key.

Darn.

Best,

Hmmm...not a lot of scientific functions evident on the keyboard...perhaps they're shifted functions (as in shifted to a different calculator) :)

Oh yeah, this looks like big science! Although, without Grand Total, applications may be somewhat limited...

I propose to quote this statement for advertising. It's so striking it could be used as our motto. What do you think?

I have to admit, the guy makes a boring, ugly calculator sound interesting, and with 100% positive feedback with 3662 auctions he's doing something right.

On of the things I always loved about using an RPN calculator in school is that no-one every wanted to borrow it. Some folks nearly have a stroke when the can't find the equals key. I have been using my old TI57 lately (after years in crate the dusty old thing works) and I get disoriented easily. What is this equals key? What's on the stack now? What, no stack?

Hopefully, he was allowed to use Jörg Wörners work and pictures for that auction.

I take it back. He didn't make it sound interesting, Jorg did.
