Using Conn4x with the 48GX
Message #1 Posted by Bill (Dayton, OH) on 18 Nov 2006, 12:14 p.m.

I am trying to connect a 48GX to my computer. On the HP "Conn4x" program, it gives the following instructions for connecting the 48GX:

"Press right-shift then LIB then Xsrvr (lib), Press Xsrvr (commmand)"

Can anyone tell me how to access the LIB and Xsrvr on the 48GX? I cannot find them. Thanks.

You must first download the Xserver library. There should be an option from the HPCONN4X program menu that will allow you to do this. Once you select that option (to download the library), the popup dialogue windows will tell you exactly what you need to do on the calculator to get the library transferred. Then everything should work.

Thanks Han. I downloaded the library and it works fine.

Can you recommend a program for writing and editing HP programs on the PC? I had used "notepad" previously, but it is a pain.
