Changed batteries of my 28C without loss of memory
Message #1 Posted by marais on 19 Dec 2005, 4:55 p.m.

Gentlemen, I proudly announce that I just changed batteries of my 28C without loss of memory, nor breaking the battery case. A little wonder, but then again, it's christmas time. Just wanted to share my joy.

Once you have mastered the act of pushing down on the batteries before sliding the door across, it's a piece of cake, don't you agree ;)

...yes, that's all there is to it. I wasn't aware of the battery door issue before reading about it on this forum, and now i am extra extra careful. I ran the 28c on the low battery indicator for 6 months before daring to change (when the first "System Object" error appeared)

I did this successfully with my 18C, not even knowing there could be a problem with breaking the door:).
