Message #1 Posted by Henning on 3 Dec 2005, 5:42 p.m.

Hello,

First i hope my English is not to well...

I got a HP-67 for a time and it had the Wheel Problem. I repaired it with the two o-rings. I can read cards now but everytime i try to write to a blanc card i got a error message. everybody have a hint for me for that problem?

All the best, Henning

The problem is almost certainly the adjustment of the write protect leaf switch since you get an error on writing. Errors reading a just written card could be the adjustment of the head enable switch.

Sorry David...

...when writing my response I was in a hurry and didn't read your response carefully. So it happened that I repeated your arguments.

I didn't mean to be rude!

Greetings, Klaus

Is the card write-protected (corner removed)? Maybe the contact that detects write-protection is out of shape.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply! I take a look at the write protect leaf switch. I hope that this is the problem.

All the best, Henning

If you haven't seen it, be sure to check Tony Duells excellent article on the 67. Look for the signal WPS - that's the one of interest.
